On Sunday, March 10, join the Instant Film Society for our latest #Polawalk in the heart of Denton, Texas for 35 Denton – one of the largest music festivals in the Southwest.
There’s nothing quite like an image captured on some integral film as it ejects from a Polaroid camera and you hold it in your hand as it develops. Pair that analog magic with a four-day walkable music festival featuring more than 200 local and national acts, dozens of vendors and artists and hoards of festivalgoers, and it’s a match made in heaven.
This year marks the 5th year of the award-winning music festival that is presenting a fantastic line-up of established and up-and-coming bands and artists from ALL OVER THE WORLD, including Solange, Chelsea Light Moving (ft. Thurston Moore), Camera Obscura, Man Man, Killer Mike, Thee Oh Sees, Silver Apples, Marnie Stern, Mac DeMarco, Nü Sensae, The Spits, Ruby Suns, Prince Rama, Talk Normal and hundreads more.
Members of the Instant Film Society will be on-hand, documenting all four days of the BEST EVER FEST EVER, capturing analog images. On Sunday, an even larger group of IFS members will meet up for a day-long #PolaWalk to listen to some incredible bands and shoot instant film. Bring your instant cameras loaded with your favorite film and share the love of analog images with other like-minded photographers and artists. No experience necessary to join. (And if you have a camera but don’t know where to find film, contact IFS at info@instantfilmsociety.co
