SCROLL DOWN FOR MAP OF ROUTE
This PolaWalk is structured so you can come and go as you please during this event. The main focus is to get you more in tune with instant film and a little more connected to the film community around D/FW. During the walk, there will be a handful of IFS members on-site helping you with questions regarding anything instant film related. If you have the time, stick around with us afterwards at Tate’s. We’d love nothing more than the opportunity to spend some time with all of you, review images, talk instant photography and get to know one another better.
The loose agenda is as follows:
1:00 – 2:00 Klyde Warren Park - Snap it ‘from the hip’. This park offers of plethora of photographic opportunities. Just look around and capture whatever intrigues you.
2:00 – 3:00 The Winspear Opera House / Meyerson / Cathedral Guadalupe - From-the-street architectural photography.
3:00 Hop on M-Line Trolly Trains - These are free and run every 20 minutes. Hitch a ride or simply walk up McKinney Ave towards Tate’s. Some of the trains are roughly 100 years old and are great subject matter for images from the street or on-board the trolley.
4:00 Meet up at Tate’s Bar (2723 McKinney Ave.) - Hang out , network, review images and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals.
We will be tweeting our locations throughout the walk from our twitter account: @UseInstantFilm. Please feel free to post images with #useinstantfilm on twitter or instagram.
UPLOADING IMAGES DURING / AFTER THE WALK

Hook up with the Instant Film Society on the last Sunday in February for our monthly PolaWalk. Break out your Polaroid or Instax cameras, come bearing some film and join up with coolest people in town.
We’re going to be walking around the Klyde Warren Park, hoppin’ on the M-line trolley and if the weather is a little out of sorts, we’re going to seek refuge in the Dallas Museum of Art.
The Instant Film Society wants YOU to learn more about instant photography. If you’ve never shot with a Polaroid, Fuji Instax or any other analog instant camera, this is your chance to break the mold.
