Promote the use of all types of film!

I’ve been shooting obsessively for about 6 years now.  I found photography at a time when film had already been on a decline, but luckily I was nudged to use it by my father.   I shot film for the first 8 months of my journey into photography and then picked up a digital camera.   It wasn’t long before I put the digital down and went back to film.  Digital is great for many things, but for most things I choose film.    The authenticity of film images appeal to me.

In a day when pixel-crammed mini-cameras dominate the marketplace, I enjoy using the things that other people have disregarded, overlooked or just haven’t learned about.  It has given me perspective into the world of photography I would have never had.  Unfortunately, the majority of film that is available now will not be around forever.  Since I’ve begun shooting, I’ve seen a dramatic drop in the availability, selection and a slow increase in price.

The goal of this blog is to help promote the use of all types of film and hopefully convince its readers to either pick it back up again or try it out for the first time.
